JOB SUMMARY:

Specialty Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all of the critical care orientation programs, including critical care staff, critical care float pool, critical care internship program and Travelers. Coordinator is accountable to work with Critical Care Leadership Team, Critical Care Educators and Clinical Specialists to achieve goals of the critical care orientation program, keeping Leadership informed of all issues and actions, updating all units monthly on progress, and serving as a program resource to leadership, staff and preceptors.

QUALIFICATIONS:


· Graduate of an accredited nursing program required


· Five years of staff nurse experience with progressive clinical management skills required


· BSN preferred


· Licensed or eligible for licensure in Commonwealth of Virginia required


· Five years experience in critical care preferred


· Demonstrated leadership skills


· Demonstrated track record in building programs, staff and physician relationships, productivity and process improvement programs, and database management


· Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, including group facilitation


· Demonstrate the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible in responding to changing needs/priorities
