Winchester Medical Center

Winchester Medical Center, a 411-bed facility, offers a full range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and rehabilitation services, and participates in a variety of clinical trials. Centers of Excellence include Heart & Vascular Services, Neurosciences, General Medicine, Bariatrics, Oncology, and Women & Children's Services. WMC is the only Level II Trauma Center in the region and serves as the tertiary services hub for Valley Health's Shenandoah Valley corridor. We are a fully accredited Chest Pain Center and a fully certified Primary Stroke Center. WMC Nursing is very proud for WMC to be recognized as an American Nurse Credentialing Center Magnet Facility and operates a strong Shared Governance program through the Nursing Council. Warren Memorial Hospital

Founded 1951

Located in Front Royal, Warren Memorial Hospital has 76 licensed acute care beds and a 120-bed dually-certified nursing facility. The hospital offers emergency services, a broad array of surgical options, maternity services and more. Warren Memorial embraces the Planetree model of patient-centered care. In 2008 it opened an outpatient facility on Commerce Avenue that includes occupational health, outpatient rehabilitation services, and physician offices. Nursing Services at Warren Memorial has embarked on the American Nurse Credentialing Center's Pathway to Excellence journey which recognizes the essential elements of an ideal nursing practice environment in a smaller facility. This recognition confirms to the public that nurses working in a Pathway to Excellence organization are dedicated to achieving the best in patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Shenandoah Memorial Hospital

Founded 1951

Shenandoah Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access facility in Woodstock, VA. SMH offerings include around-the-clock emergency services, outpatient surgery, cardiopulmonary services, medical imaging, diabetes management, inpatient and outpatient rehab, sleep lab, wellness programs and health screenings. The hospital is supported by a team of physicians, some employed by SMH and others in their own independent practices. SMH was the first hospital in our system to launch Computerized Physician Order Entry, which enabled Nursing to help to raise the bar on safety standards. The hospital is is already a two-time winner in the Top 100 Most Wired hospitals.

Hampshire Memorial Hospital

Founded 1958

On January 1, 2008, Hampshire Memorial became the first West Virginia hospital to join Valley Health. HMH is a Critical Access hospital with 14 acute care beds, 30 long-term care beds and an emergency department. In addition, Hampshire Memorial and Valley Health provide rehabilitation and wellness services at Hampshire Wellness & Fitness Center that opened in Romney in 2007. Nursing is very excited about plans to construct a beautiful replacement hospital in Romney, and our groundbreaking ceremony took place in 2009.

Page Memorial Hospital

Founded 1925

Page Memorial, a licensed 25-bed Critical Access hospital in Luray, Virginia, joined Valley Health as an affiliate in January 2009. Services include an emergency department which sees over 10,000 patients each year. PMH services include home care and home medical services, and the hospital operates Page Health Care in Luray, Page Rural Health Care in Stanley, and the Page-Shenandoah Center in Shenandoah. It also operates the PMH Therapy and Fitness Center and Page Surgical Services, both in Luray. With a staff of over 200, PMH is one of the largest employers in Page County. Valley Health welcomes our Page nurses as the newest members in our Nursing community.

War Memorial Hospital

Founded 1934

Located in Berkeley Springs, WV, War Memorial Hospital began in 1934 as a facility caring for children with polio. War Memorial expanded its hospital services in 1947 and Valley Health began managing the facility for Morgan County in 1989 and reached agreement to acquire the hospital in 2008. The proposed merger is under review by the West Virginia Health Care Authority. The not-for-profit facility is a federally designated Critical Access Hospital with 25 acute care and physical rehabilitation beds and a 16-bed extended care unit. Outpatient services include general and specialty surgical services, a 24-hour emergency department, an all-digital medical imaging department, cardiac rehab, home health and an outpatient rehabilitation and wellness facility.
